MEET THE ARTIST / SIDNEY BAKER-GREEN

The long
way around.

And why I wouldn’t change a thing.

Well, maybe a few things. I’m Sidney Baker-Green, a photographer, cinematographer, colorist, pilot, and entrepreneur. I make photographs and films, teach what I’ve learned, and talk about the parts I’m still figuring out.

A LITTLE OF MY STORY ↓

I didn’t exactly take the direct route.

01 / THE FIRST SPARK

A happy accident.
A whole new world.

I’ve been obsessed with aviation for as long as I can remember. It was my first taste of freedom: the idea that I could go somewhere new, see the world from a different perspective, and create a life on my own terms.

I discovered Lightroom through a friend and fell down the rabbit hole. I started photographing everything: the zoo, waves, street corners, and anything that caught my eye. Long before clients or algorithms, there was the joy of creating.

That same curiosity eventually led me to a camera, and a much bigger vision.

02 / A NEW WAY TO TELL IT

And then
there was YouTube.

I pivoted to DaVinci Resolve, started making color grading tutorials, and everything changed. The channel grew, my work reached a global audience, and I had the opportunity to attend NAB and partner with Nikon.

Two full-circle moments I’m still grateful for.

These presets and PowerGrades are part of that same creative life. I want you to understand the process, find what works for you, and enjoy making the work.

NOTES FOR THE CLIMB

A few things
I come back to.

01

Follow the curiosity.

Write the book. Start the channel. Build the side hustle. Change course if needed. A curious life will always take you further than a comfortable one.

02

Have a flight plan.

Have a plan. Be willing to deviate. Protect the spark, but let the route change. Growth often lives off the original itinerary.

03

Keep climbing.

Airplanes take off against the wind. The resistance creates the lift. Challenges aren’t there to stop you, they’re there to make you stronger.

03 / STILL UNFOLDING

The best part?
I’m not finished.

I’m still learning, still creating, and still figuring it out. And that’s exactly how I like it.

Whether you came for the photographs, the tutorials, or a little company, I’m glad you’re here.

Keep climbing. Stay inspired.
And stay fabulous.
